How to Enable Material to be Externally Managed (Free Order)

Within this guide you are going to learn how to configure a S4Hana material to be externally managed. An example case is provided with the BPV that stocks materials for the adesso (after they were bought). If a material is then requested from the BPV the material is sent out from the existing stock and no new invoice is sent.

STEPS

  1. Determine the relevant info records for the material e.g. Iphone 13 within the Manage Sources of Supply application.

  2. Navigate into the info record of the material, opening the Purchasing Info Record application.
  3. Set the Abruf Lagerbestand Haken within the info record.
