How to Introduce a new mobile device

Within this guide you are going to learn how to introduce a new mobile device.

Context

  • We asssume to be introducing the iPhone 14.

STEPS

  1. We start off by adding the following S4Hana products.
    1. iPhone 14 without mobile contract (Leistungsart Smartphones!)
    2. iPhone 14 with mobile contract (Leistungsart Smartphones!)
  2. After configuring the product master data within SAP, we wait for the Matrix42 data collector to run. Afterwards, the products are present as service within Matrix42. Warning : Never make the with/without services bookable by employees!
  3. Within Matrix42 we create an overarching iPhone 14 service.

Approval Workflow

The RootITUp - Smartphone Order Analysis approval workflow adds an additional inspection into the booking of a user. It tries to lookup any previous booking that

  1. was accepted by the user and
  2. was created within the last two years and
  3. belongs to the Smartphones category.

If such a booking exists, the current booking is forwarded to IT-Procurement for approval.

Provisioning Workflow

The Provisioning - RootITUp Booking Smartphone Processing workflow requires a special configuration form to be filled out.

Warning : Should no configuration form be present, inform the Matrix42 administration about missing access rights on the Ud_SmartphoneProvisioning configuration item.

In the configuration form, specify the article to be used for contractless and the article to be used for contractful orders.
